Atlético Clube Goianiense is an institution of the city of Goiânia, which belongs to the state of Goiás. Founded on April 2, 1937 the “Dragão” plays its home matches at the Antônio Accioly Stadium, which has a capacity to hold up to 12,500 people. Goianiense historically represents the neighborhood of Campinas, an important commercial hub of the city. Its main rivals are Goiás and Vila Nova.
