Sport Club Internacional (known as Internacional or Inter and popularly nicknamed "Colorado") is a Brazilian club based in the city of Porto Alegre, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The institution was founded on April 4, 1909, by the Poppe brothers, with the aim of being a democratic and non-judgmental institution. Their colors are red and white, and their fans are called "colorados."
